The victim of a home invasion was stabbed and robbed recently in Annapolis, police said. The victim went to a hospital with a forehead cut.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The victim of a home invasion was stabbed and robbed recently in Annapolis, city police said.

The encounter happened Sunday around 11:48 a.m. in the unit block of Hicks Avenue, officers said.

Authorities said the suspect entered the home and demanded money from the victim.

The suspect stabbed the victim in the forehead with a knife during the ensuing struggle, police said. This caused a deep cut.

Officers said the suspect then fled with the victim's Michael Kors purse, which had cash and a bank card inside.

The victim went to an unidentified hospital, authorities said. The Annapolis Police Department expects the victim to survive.
