Man Lands In Detention Center After Pushing Officer: Police

A man is facing second-degree assault and disorderly conduct charges after he pushed an officer during a response call, police said.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A man was arrested after he confronted police and pushed an officer during a response call.

The Annapolis Police Department said Tuesday that officers were called to the 1200 block of Thom Court for a report of an assault Monday, just after 11:15 p.m.

At the scene, officials found a man using "multiple racial slurs" and attempting to provoke responding officers into a fight. The man later pushed an officer, prompting an arrest.
