Man Stabbed, Hospitalized In Annapolis: Police

A man was stabbed and hospitalized in Annapolis, police said. An unrelated shooting in the city hospitalized another man hours earlier.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A man was stabbed in his back Thursday in Annapolis, city police announced.

Officers said medics took the victim to an unnamed trauma center. He was in stable condition when authorities last got an update.

Police said they heard about the stabbing in the 1400 block of Tyler Avenue around 9:28 p.m.

The city also saw an unrelated shooting nine hours earlier. Officers said that shooting happened about two miles away in the 1900 block of Fairfax Road.

Medics flew the injured man to an unnamed trauma center, authorities said. He was also in stable condition as of the last update.

The Annapolis Police Department is still investigating the shooting. Detectives asked anybody with information to call 410-260-3439.

The Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland offered a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest or an indictment.
