MD Chicken Wing Festival Is Around The Corner
The 12th annual Maryland Chicken Wing Festival is being held this weekend. Here's everything you need to know for the event.
ANNE ARUNDEL CO., MD — The 12th annual Maryland Chicken Wing Festival is coming to town this weekend, bringing not only chicken but a mix of activities that include a pepper eating contest.
Festivities will be held at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds in Crownsville, at 1450 Generals Highway.
Guests can participate in the event from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

General admission tickets start at $18.77 for Saturday and $13.12 for Sunday. Any children under the age of 12 are admitted free of charge, but still require registration for a child's ticket.

- Axe-throwing and archery
- Pepper eating contest
- Wing eating contest
- Best wing sauce competition
- "Best of Show" judging
Musical performances will also feature artists Daphne Eckman and the Naptown Brass Band, among others.
More than a dozen vendors will be making up what organizers are calling "wing alley." They include vendors such as:
