New Parade Route For Annapolis St. Patrick's Parade Revealed

In less than a month, Annapolis will play host to its popular St. Patrick's Parade. Here's what you need to know about the new route.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Not only will the St. Patrick's Parade be the first to start Annapolis' 2026 parade season, but it will also kick off festivities on a new route.

Unlike the last 14 years, the parade will start Sunday, March 8, at 1 p.m. on West Street at Amos Garrett Boulevard, proceeding around Church Circle before going through Northwest, Calvert and St. John's streets.

Organizers said the new route was enacted because of the ongoing construction meant to protect the City Dock from coastal flooding. The multimillion-dollar project first broke ground last November.

“St. Patrick’s Day in Annapolis is about tradition and celebrating together,” Annapolis Mayor Jared Littmann said in a statement announcing the new route.

“When the streets are lined on both sides with families, and the whole city turns green, you know the St. Patrick’s Day parade has arrived in Annapolis. It’s a joyful tradition that brings out the very best in our community.”

In addition to rolling road closures, parking restrictions will be implemented along the entirety of the parade route, which runs from West Street to St. John's Street.
