New Planning And Zoning Director To Be Sworn In Friday

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Mayor Gavin Buckley will swear in Dr. Sally Nash as the city’s director of the department of planning and zoning. Nash currently holds the position of acting director. The swearing-in will take place in city council chambers Friday at 2 p.m.

Nash has worked for the City of Annapolis for 14 years as of this April. She started her career as a planner after earning her doctoral degree in geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2013, she became the city’s chief of comprehensive planning. She has been the acting director since the April 2019 departure of then-director Peter Gutwald who left Annapolis to head the planning department for Baltimore County.
