Overturned Vehicle Closed Route 50 At West Street: Police

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Police said Route 50 was closed to westbound traffic Thursday following a crash near West Street. A vehicle overturned on US 50 west after 3 p.m., officials reported.

Following the collision, traffic from Route 50 west was detoured onto West Street.

The left shoulder had opened so traffic could get through by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27.

By 4:45 p.m., state transportation officials said the crash had cleared.

A car carrier had overturned, according to WBAL, which reported nobody was injured.

Troopers from Maryland State Police are investigating the crash.
