Peeping Tom Charge Filed After Annapolis Mall Encounter
Anne Arundel County Police have charged a South County man with voyeurism for allegedly trying to film a girl trying on clothes at a store.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A South County man was charged with being a peeping Tom for allegedly attempting to shoot video of a girl in an Annapolis Mall clothing store.
Anne Arundel County Police officers were called to the Forever 21 store in the mall Tuesday afternoon for a report of a possible sex offense.

A 16-year-old girl and her parents told police a man in a dressing room next to the teen had tried to videotape her while she was trying on clothing. The victim reportedly saw the suspect angling his cellphone toward her and she asked him what he was doing.
The suspect -- Savio Macedo Silvestre, 20, of the 1000 block of Biltmore Avenue in West River -- then immediately left the dressing room.

Police determined that no sex offense had occurred, but Silveste was arrested and charged with voyeurism (peeping Tom).
