Pip Moyer Rec Center Open Friday As Cooling Center

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Annapolis will open a cooling center Friday, Aug. 17, when it's expected to feel like 100 degrees outside by mid-afternoon. The Pip Moyer Recreation Center at 273 Hilltop Lane will open to give a respite from the heat.

The cooling center will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for people seeking relief from excessive heat. Patrons utilizing the facility as a cooling center will not have access to recreation activities.
