As Patch earlier reported, Debelius then drove across Duke of Gloucester Street to the road’s northern side, where his vehicle jumped a curb, went onto the sidewalk and hit a pedestrian, according to Annapolis police.
The 23-year-old pedestrian was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center, where police said she died from her injuries.
Annapolis police said it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident. Once the investigation is done, the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office will be consulted to determine what, if any, charges will be filed in the accident.
