Police to Stop Drivers at Sobriety Checkpoint Thursday Night

Annapolis Police will set up a checkpoint this Thursday evening, Nov. 6.

If you plan to go out for drinks Thursday night, line up a sober driver to get you safely home, or risk jail time.

Annapolis police will conduct a DUI checkpoint from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday on West Street, the department says. The law requires departments to announce the checkpoints in advance.

The checkpoint will take place in the area of West Street and Amos Garrett Boulevard, the Capital-Gazette reports.
