Lifeguards Save Pastor After Heart Attack In Pool: Officials

Prince George's County lifeguards saved a preacher's life after he had a heart attack in the pool. Officials said the victim fell unconscious during his weekly swim, was pooled from the pool, received CPR and shocked the pastor's heart back into rhythm.

Popular Ice Cream Parlor Opens Second Annapolis Location

The Annapolis Ice Cream Company will open a second location Saturday at noon. The new shop will be located at 116 Annapolis Street. The business also runs an ice cream truck and plans to open a third site soon.

Jerami Grant Represents Bowie In Tokyo Olympics

The state of Maryland is well known for sending athletes to the Summer Olympic Games every four years, but the city of Bowie will have one of its very own representing the U.S. this year.

'Savor Bethesda' Restaurant Week 2021 Running July 8 to July 18

Bethesda's Restaurant Week is back beginning July 8 and running through July 18. "Savor Bethesda" and support local downtown eateries by eating in-restaurant or getting takeout.

List Of Venues Taking Part In Howard Co. Summer Restaurant Weeks

Fine diners enjoy summer restaurant weeks every year, but it may have taken on an extra flavor as Howard County residents again mingle and dine out. Summer Restaurant Weeks will run from July 12 to 25 in Howard County. This year there are more than 30 restaurants taking part and a new partnership with the Howard County Asian-American and Pacific Islander Workgroup.

Meet $400K Winner In MD COVID Vaccination Lottery

After weeks of prize drawings for some of the Maryland residents who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, a Baltimore city man was picked July 4 to receive the $400,000 grand prize in the $2 Million VaxCash Promotion.

99th Birthday Celebrated With Party, Cake From Police

County resident Sarah Horne turned 99 last month. The Prince George's County Police Department threw her a party fit for the occasion.
