Lifeguards Save Pastor After Heart Attack In Pool: Officials

Prince George's County lifeguards saved a preacher's life after he had a heart attack in the pool. Officials said the victim fell unconscious during his weekly swim, was pooled from the pool, received CPR and shocked the pastor's heart back into rhythm.

Popular Ice Cream Parlor Opens Second Annapolis Location

The Annapolis Ice Cream Company will open a second location Saturday at noon. The new shop will be located at 116 Annapolis Street. The business also runs an ice cream truck and plans to open a third site soon.

Fine diners enjoy summer restaurant weeks every year, but it may have taken on an extra flavor as Howard County residents again mingle and dine out. Summer Restaurant Weeks will run from July 12 to 25 in Howard County. This year there are more than 30 restaurants taking part and a new partnership with the Howard County Asian-American and Pacific Islander Workgroup.
