Road Closures You Need To Know This Weekend
The Annapolis Running Festival is coming up this weekend. Here's what you need to know before hitting the roads.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — Multiple road closures will be in effect this weekend as the Annapolis Running Festival gets underway.
The Annapolis Running Festival includes a 5K, 10K , and a half-marathon. Start times for the 5K and 10K are listed at 7 a.m., with the 5K kicking off at 7:15 a.m.
While parking along Main and King George streets won't be impacted, the same cannot be said for Randall Street since metered traffic into Gate One of the U.S. Naval Academy will be in play.

City officials said sidewalk closures are not planned.
Police will be directing traffic at the Rowe Boulevard intersections with Farragut Road and Herbert Sachs. Officials are urging residents to plan accordingly.

All road closures are expected to be lifted around 10:30 a.m.

Stadium Area / Rowe Boulevard
7 – 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.*
- Taylor Avenue between Cedar Park Road and Annapolis Street
- Southbound Taylor Avenue between Annapolis Street and Herbert Sachs
- Cedar Park Road between Taylor Avenue and Farragut Road
- Farragut Road
- Rowe Boulevard inbound between Farragut Road and Northwest Street (*between 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., Annapolis Police will detour vehicles around the stadium via Farragut Road, Cedar Park Road, Taylor Avenue and Herbert Sachs)
Historic Area
7 – 8:30 a.m.
- Northwest Street between Rowe Boulevard and Church Circle
- Church Circle between Main and Northwest streets
- Main Street
- Randall Street
- King George Street (cars parked overnight on the street will be able to exit north toward MD 450)
Naval Academy Bridge and Areas North
6:45 – 10:30 a.m.
- The Route 50 exit ramp (Exit 27) onto southbound 450 (Baltimore/Naval Academy)
- MD 450/southbound between Boulters Way and Taylor Avenue
- Boulters Way (west/northbound only)
- B&A Trail between Boulters Way and Joyce Lane
