Suspicious Package On College Creek Bridge Cleared, Street Open
Annapolis Police closed a section of Rowe Boulevard so a suspicious package on College Creek Bridge could be examined. No hazard was found.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Reports say a suspicious package prompted authorities to shut down Rowe Boulevard near the Maryland Statehouse Wednesday afternoon. Annapolis Police said Rowe was closed in both directions College Avenue and Taylor Avenue as a precaution.
The street closure let the Annapolis Fire Department respond to a report made at 1:42 p.m. of a suspicious package on the College Creek Bridge. Bomb squad members used a robot to assess the contents of the package, which was determined not to be a hazard and was rendered safe at 3:05 p.m., according to a news release.
The scene was cleared and turned over to Annapolis Police Department which reopened Rowe Boulevard in both directions shortly after 3 p.m. No injuries were reported.
