Schools in Anne Arundel Issue Weather Decision
Anne Arundel County Public Schools officials say they will continue to make adjustments based on weather Tuesday, Feb. 9.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD – Schools will open two hours later than usual on Tuesday, Feb. 9, according to a statement from Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
Morning half-day prekindergarten and ECI classes are canceled.
Full-day prekindergarten is still on, and students should arrive on a two-hour delay.

Anne Arundel County is under a winter weather advisory until midnight Wednesday, with the potential for 1 to 3 inches of snow Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

“Due to the current weather conditions, all Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late today.

“There will be no morning half-day pre-kindergarten or ECI classes. Students in full-day pre-kindergarten classes will have class, and should report two hours later than normal.
“AACPS will continue to monitor the weather and make any necessary adjustments to this schedule. If there is a change, parents will receive another notification.”
