Shots Fired In Annapolis 3 Times In Single Day, 2 Victims Airlifted To Hospital: Police
Shots were fired in Annapolis three separate times in one day, police said. Medics airlifted two victims. Officers arrested multiple people.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Authorities announced that shots were fired in Annapolis three separate times on Friday. Medics airlifted two victims, including one minor, to the hospital.
Police arrested multiple suspects, but some are still on the run. Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland offered a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to more arrests or indictments.
An off-duty officer heard the first shots fired around 1:29 p.m. near Clay Street and Town Pines Court, an incident report said. Authorities found shell casings on the scene. Investigators think the suspects fled in a vehicle. Officials did not list any injuries in this case.

Officers mentioned that they then spotted a man with an apparent gunshot wound at 4:33 p.m. in the 1400 block of Tyler Avenue. Police gave first aid until the Annapolis Fire Department arrived and took over. Medics flew this victim to an unnamed medical center. Officials expect him to survive.
The final shooting happened around 8:15 p.m., the write-up noted. Authorities responded to the 1000 block of President Street and learned that a juvenile male victim was located with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body in the nearby 400 block of Jefferson Street. Paramedics also airlifted this victim to an unidentified hospital with serious injuries, but he is in stable condition. Detectives clarified that they made multiple arrests after this shooting and found guns on the scene.

Patch requested more details on the suspects and the weapons. Officials have not yet responded to our inquiry. We will update this story if we hear back.
The Annapolis Police Department is still investigating all three cases. The agency asked anybody with information to call 410-260-3439. Tipsters can stay anonymous by dialing 1-866-7LOCKUP, visiting metrocrimestoppers.org, or using the P3 Tips mobile application.
"An increased number of officers are patrolling throughout the City due to the recent incidents," the department said in the press release. "It is important that witnesses come forward. Your information could assist in the investigations and help curb the criminal activity in our community."
