ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Anne Arundel County residents were scheduled to return to work on Monday, but Mother Nature had other plans. The first major snow of the season dusted the region, welcoming the area back from its long New Year's weekend.

Patch plans to post a photo gallery of the winter wonderland, and we want to see your photos! Here's how to get your pictures featured. Please only send images that you captured.

  1. Email a photo that you took to jacob.baumgart@patch.com.
  2. Use the subject line: "Snow Pictures".
  3. Write the following phrase in your email: "I took this picture, and I give Patch permission to post it."
  4. Include your name. Feel free to share where you took the photo.

Snow Forecast

Northern Anne Arundel County could get 4 to 6 inches of snow. Everywhere south of Gambrills and Severna Park could see 6 to 8 inches. The latest forecast is available here.

Anne Arundel County Public Schools already canceled Monday classes. Leaders also closed some COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinics. Annapolis similarly declared a snow emergency and asked locals to remove their cars from snow routes.
