Save the date. The SPCA of Anne Arundel County will hold its third annual Puppy Plunge on Sunday, Aug. 24.

There will also be a dog bikini contest and a puppy pie-eating contest for dogs big and small. And, of course, dogs will get to take a “plunge” into the river. Bigger dogs will get to swim on Muscle Beach and smaller dogs will dive into the Petite Beach.
Last year, over 1,300 people attended the event with their dogs.
