Special Race Designed For Kids Coming Up In Annapolis Sept. 29

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Adults aren't the only ones lacing up their running shoes and pounding the pavement. Charm City Run, along with Saucony, is hosting an X-Country Series consisting of seven races across Maryland, including one in Annapolis.

The races are for families with kids 12 and younger. The top three girls and three boys in each age group will receive medals and every child who participates will receive a ribbon in the hopes of fostering a love of entering races. Parents are encouraged to run alongside their children and cheer them on.

Depending upon the child's age, the race length will vary from a quarter-mile to one mile. Each race is held on a Sundayfrom 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The cost is $6 if registered in advance and $10 on race day.

The race in Annapolis will be Sept. 29 at Annapolis Towne Centre, 1910 Towne Centre Blvd., Annapolis.
