Teen Sought for Shooting in Failed Robbery: Annapolis Police

Annapolis Police are asking the public to help them find a 17-year-old charged as an adult with attempted murder.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis teenager is being sought by police on a warrant for attempted murder in a Wednesday shooting.

Annapolis Police are asking for help from the public in finding Eric Offutt, 17, of Annapolis. He is charged as an adult with attempted murder for allegedly shooting a man in the 1100 block of Madison Street.

A police officer in the area heard shots being fired at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday. A 32-year-old victim was shot in the leg during a failed robbery attempt, police say.

The victim was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for non-life threatening injuries.
