Telecommunications Access of Maryland Delivers Valentines to the Homeless

State employees delivered miniature bottles of shampoos, toothpaste and other assorted toiletries to homeless men and women in Baltimore.

State employees from Telecommunications Access of Maryland (TAM) delivered miniature bottles of shampoos, toothpaste and other assorted toiletries to homeless men and women in Baltimore City yesterday. The agency has been collecting the items over the course of several months, from hotel stays and employee donations and delivered the goods to both the Helping Up Mission and My Sister’s Place shelters in Baltimore. “Working with those who are less fortunate in the community reminds us of the needs that extend beyond what we do day to day as an agency. It is important to give back to our neighbors,” said Brenda Kelly-Frey, Director of TAM. A state agency within the Maryland Department of Information Technology, TAM oversees all Maryland Relay services and programs including Captioned Telephone service and the Maryland Accessible Telecommunications (MAT) equipment distribution program.
