Fundraiser For Ukraine Held By DMV Restaurants, Proceeds Will Help Feed Refugees
A Ukrainian relief fundraiser will be held at restaurants in Maryland and Virginia. Here's how you can help feed refugees.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A DMV restaurateur will fundraise for Ukrainian relief on Tuesday.
The business, known as Titan Hospitality Group, will donate 20 percent of its carryout sales to feeding Ukrainian refugees fleeing the Russian invasion. The effort runs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at these Titan restaurants:
- Smashing Grapes (Annapolis, Maryland and Gambrills, Maryland)
- Blackwall Hitch (Alexandria, Virginia and Annapolis, Maryland)
- The Blackwall Barn & Lodge (Gambrills, Maryland)
Customers should place their orders over the phone. The websites above list the phone numbers of each eatery.

“It’s heartbreaking to see what the people of Ukraine are going through right now,” Titan Hospitality Founder and CEO James King said in a press release. “We believe in the uniting power of food and the importance of coming together around a good meal."
The proceeds will benefit World Central Kitchen, a charity that feeds anybody in crisis. Montgomery County, Maryland Chef José Andrés founded the nonprofit in 2010.

The group has since served more than 50 million fresh meals to victims of natural disasters and other crises around the globe. It has helped residents of The Bahamas, Indonesia, Lebanon, Mozambique, Venezuela, the United States and now Ukraine.

The charity also has operations for refugees who escaped to neighboring countries like Hungary, Moldova, Poland and Romania.
World Central Kitchen serves nearly 300,000 daily meals to Ukrainians throughout Europe, Titan Hospitality said.
"Titan Hospitality is proud to partner with World Central Kitchen to aid in its Ukraine relief efforts to provide fresh food and hot meals to refugees,” King said.
