My name is Josalyn , I am a local 14 year old who lives in Eastport.
In the first grade, I learned about how we were destroying the rainforest and how quickly it was being demolished. I wanted to do something that would help raise awareness about how fast it was being ruined and show that everyone’s help can make a difference.
When I was 7, I opened my first fresh squeezed, organic lemonade stand, entirely non-profit with product donations from Whole Foods and ice from Davis' Pub. I raised $300 in the first year, and every year after that I was able to raise more money, resulting in a total donation of over $10,000 to the Rainforest Foundation. Please see my page on their site,http://www.rainforestfoundation.org/kids-action.
