Veterans Day 2018 Ceremonies At Maryland Memorials, Cemeteries
The Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs has ceremonies planned at several locations on Sunday, Nov. 11.

CROWNSVILLE, MD — Weekend ceremonies are planned in honor of Veterans Day across the state of Maryland. The following Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs ceremonies will take place on Sunday, November 11:

- World War II Memorial- Route 450 at Naval Academy Bridge, 1920 Ritchie Highway, Annapolis

- Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery – 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham
- Crownsville Veterans Cemetery – 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville
- Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery – 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills
- Vietnam Veterans Memorial – Middle Branch Park, 2825 South Hanover Street, Baltimore

Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery – 14205 Pleasant Valley Road, NE, Flintstone
No Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery in Allegeny County due to construction.
The following Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Day Ceremony will take place Monday, Nov. 12.

World War I Commemoration
One hundred years ago, World War I ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. The public may commemorate the armistice for World War I on Sunday, Nov. 11, by making a remembrance poppy and celebrating all veterans with cake at the College Park Aviation Museum.
The cake cutting at 11 a.m. is first-come, firstserved. Poppy making will be available throughout the day.
As part of M-NCPPC's Military Appreciation Week, the museum is offering free admission to active duty and retired service members and up to 4 family members. Military Appreciation Week runs through Monday, Nov. 12.
