Victim Falls 20 Feet On Cargo Vessel: Update
Annapolis and Anne Arundel emergency crews rescued a worker who fell 20 feet on a cargo vessel in Chesapeake Bay.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Annapolis Fire Department crews were called just before 11 a.m. Thursday to rescue someone who fell 20 feet on a shipping container vessel in the waters of Chesapeake Bay. Emergency crews were staged at Dock Street about noon, the department said.
The patient was extricated from the vessel and taken to shore by fire boat and then flown by a medical transport to an area hospital.
The Capital-Gazette reports the man slid down a 20-foot, angled wall in the ship's hold and injured his thighbone. He did not fall 100 feet as first reported by the fire department.
