Victim Identified in Deadly Pasadena House Fire

Anne Arundel County Fire officials say the woman who was trapped in a townhome died at an area burn center.

PASADENA, MD — Investigators are still trying to determine what caused a fire that killed a Pasadena woman.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department says on Facebook that Laura Huddle, 66, was rescued from a Pasadena house fire on Thursday evening. She died Saturday afternoon at the Burn Center at John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Firefighters were called to the fire in the 300 block of Rambling Ridge Court with a report that Huddle was trapped inside. Heavy fire was visible from the front of the townhome when firefighters arrived.

The victim was quickly located and removed from the house, where paramedics began providing care. Huddle was initially taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center in critical condition, and later transferred to the Burn center.

The department’s Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the fire, which remains undetermined.

Damages are estimated at $40,000 with the damage contained to mostly the first floor and stairwell.
