Wallet, Credit Cards Taken from Vehicles: Annapolis Police Reports

Also, the April 14 Annapolis Neighborhood Watch meeting will discuss home security and crime trends.

In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 286 calls for service and arrested 25 people.

Arrest in Vehicle Thefts – On 04/12 Thomas Chambers, 26, of Annapolis was arrested for rogue and vagabond. At 2:55am a caller reported a man trying vehicle door handles on Bay Ridge Avenue near Van Buren Street. Officers located Chambers on Bay Ridge Avenue near Bethany Court. Chambers was identified as the suspect who entered at least one unlocked vehicle in the area. Property was found in Chambers’ pockets that may relate to other cases. Chambers was charged with rogue and vagabond and released by the District Court Commissioner.

Theft from Vehicle – 900 block of Bay Forest Ct – 04/10 at 3pm to 04/11 at 7am: A resident in the unit block of Silverwood Circle reported finding a wallet in the area. The officer located the owner of the wallet and discovered it was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 900 block of Bay Forest Ct.

Theft from Vehicle – Unit block of Edgewood Green Ct – 04/06: Credit cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The owner is not sure when the theft occurred because he was out of town.

Neighborhood Watch Meeting
The next Neighborhood Watch meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 14 from 6:30pm to 8pm at Annapolis Police Headquarters, 199 Taylor Avenue. This meeting’s speaker is Kimberly Hartlove and she will be talking about home security. We will also cover current crime trends in the city. Food will be served so please RSVP to Cpl.
