Watch For Possible Flooding at City Dock, Downtown Annapolis

Annapolis officials warn that a few downtown streets and parking lots could be flooded this week.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Annapolis drivers should watch for flooding in the Downtown/City Dock area over the next few days, says the city's Office of Emergency Management, which is monitoring the potential for flooding. The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory that went into effect at 2 p.m. Monday and lasts until 10 p.m. Monday night.

High tide is around 7 p.m. Monday. There may be some coastal flooding in the downtown area at these times, officials say. Possible impacts include City Dock, Compromise Street at Newman Street, and parking lots in the surrounding areas. Expect temporary road closures in affected areas.

Wednesday: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. Northeast wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Wednesday night: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Thursday: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 55. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
