Wave Of Burglaries Has Annapolis Police Going Door-To-Door

Annapolis Police are going door to door in some neighborhoods to share tips on how to prevent burglaries after a string of thefts.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — After a wave of burglaries in several neighborhoods, Annapolis Police officers are going door to door to distribute door hanger notices about the crimes. Authorities say the notices are meant to raise residents' awareness and give them information they can use to help prevent burglaries.

"Rather than alarming residents, we want to make sure that everyone knows what is happening in their neighborhood so they can help us prevent these types of crimes," police said in a news release Thursday.

The department's published daily on Facebook, our website, and email, includes details of all burglaries in Annapolis when they are reported. For more information on where burglaries have occurred visit the Crime Map on the police deparment website www.annapolis.gov.
