Anne Arundel County Police say a man with a handgun tried, and failed, to rob an Annapolis Wawa store.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A man with a handgun tried to hold up the Wawa store at 628 Admiral Drive in Annapolis early Friday morning, but failed. Anne Arundel County Police say the would-be robbery happened about 3 a.m.
The store clerk told police that a man entered the store, showed the clerk that he had a handgun, and demanded money. But the clerk did not turn over any money and the hapless robber fled on foot.
