What You Need to Know About Fall Festivities in Annapolis: Updated

Navy football wraps up its home season and Lights on the Bay glow through Christmas.

Autumn is in full swing in Annapolis, which means the beginning of holiday outings.

Check out these fall-themed events happening in and around Annapolis:

  • Navy Football: The Annapolis tradition includes the pageantry of the march-on by the brigade of midshipman through the streets of Annapolis and onto the field of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, to the anticipation of the plebes’ ‘push-up’ count for every point the Mids place on the scoreboard. The final emaining home game will be Nov. 15 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, 550 Taylor Avenue, Annapolis, MD. For more information, click here.
  • Lights on the Bay: Get in the holiday spirit with a drive along the shore of the Chesapeake Bay through a massive light show. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Lights on the Bay held from Nov. 22 through Jan. 1. Weather permitting, the electric wonderland will be on full display nightly from 5 to 10 p.m. at Sandy Point State Park, 1100 East College Parkway in Annapolis.
