What's Open, Closed in Annapolis for Thanksgiving 2016 (ICYMI)

Annapolis government offices and services will be closed or have limited service over the Thanksgiving holiday.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — City of Annapolis government offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24, and remain closed on Friday, November 25, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Anyone wishing to make a payment at City Hall during the holiday should use the drop box at the front door of City Hall. No cash payments should be left there.

There will be no refuse or recycling collection on Thanksgiving Day. Thursday’s collection will occur on Friday, Nov. 25, and Friday’s collection will occur on Saturday, Nov. 26.

The Pip Moyer Recreation Center and Annapolis Transit will both be closed on Thanksgiving, but open and operating on a regular schedule on Friday, Nov. 25.

Government offices
It's a federal holiday, so federal, state and county government offices will be closed.

Schools
All Anne Arundel County Public Schools are closed Nov. 23-25.

Post offices
The day is a holiday for postal workers, so there is no mail delivery and your local post office is closed.

Banks
Banks are closed for Thanksgiving.
