What's Open, Closed In Annapolis For Veterans Day, Plus Parade

City of Annapolis offices and services will change on Friday, Nov. 10, for the Veterans Day holiday, parade set for Saturday.

ANNAPOLIS, MD - From the City of Annapolis: Annapolis government offices will be closed on Friday, Nov. 10, in observance of Veterans Day. Annapolis Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule. Recycling and refuse will be not affected.

The annual Veterans Day ceremony, hosted by the Fleet Reserve Association, will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, on Memorial Circle at City Dock. The United States Naval Academy Band will start at 10:45 a.m. with a short parade around Memorial Circle as part of the ceremony. All veterans are invited.

Two weekend ceremonies are planned by the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs on Saturday, November 11, in the county:

  • Crownsville Veterans Cemetery – 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville

Anne Arundel County Closings:

  • All county offices and senior centers are closed on Friday, Nov. 10.
  • There is a two-hour early dismissal for all Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Schools are closed for afternoon pre- and ECI.
  • Recycling & Landfill Centers are closed. No collection changes.
