Woman Chases BGE Tree-Trimmers with Knife: Police
A Glen Burnie woman barricaded herself in her house after confronting tree-trimmers for BGE with a knife, police say.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Workers hired by BGE to trim trees in the Glen Burnie area were chased off one resident's property Tuesday by a woman wielding a knife, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Contract workers from BGE were at 806 Dale Road to trim trees around power lines when they were confronted by Dawn Heather Kean, 55, of the 800 block of Dale Road in Glen Burnie, police said. The workers were told to leave and Kean took out a knife, then chased the workers from the property, police said.
The workers retreated and called 911 through their supervisor. Officers attempted to contact Kean, who refused to talk to police. Additional police officers responded, and residents were kept out of the area while police tried, without success, to contact Kean.
