Woman Hit, Killed By Train in Ferndale

FERNDALE, MD — A woman was killed Tuesday night after she was struck on the light rail train tracks, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

The deadly mishap was reported about 6:50 p.m. near Route 648 and Hollins Ferry Road.

Firefighters found a woman near the light rail bridge at that intersection; she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not released the woman’s name or hometown.

The Mass Transit Administration Police are investigating the death.
