Woman's Fingertip Bitten Off in Jimmy John's Fight
A woman trying to stop a fight at an Annapolis sandwich shop lost a fingertip; a Lothian man is charged with assault.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A woman’s attempt to stop a fight at an Annapolis fast-food restaurant ended up costing her the tip of a finger.
Annapolis Police say the victim tried to stop a fight just after 2 a.m. Sunday at the Jimmy John’s sandwich shop, 139 Main St. The woman knew one of the people involved in the fight.

But the would-be peacemaker was assaulted, police say, when a man bit off the tip of her left hand ring finger.
Officers searched for and located the suspect, Justin Brown, 26, of Lothian.

The victim was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.
Brown was arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct. He was released after posting $35,000 bond.
