World's Largest Yacht Launched
No, you will not be seeing "Azzam" in Ego Alley in Annapolis.
With a reported length of more than 590 feet, the world's largest yacht known as Azzam was recently launched in Germany.
Unfortunately, you will not be seeing Azzam in Ego Alley in Annapolis. The largest boat the Harbormaster's office has calculated for docking fees is 60 feet, according to Maynard Priestman, assistant harbormaster.
To get an idea of exactly how large Azzam is, the second largest yacht in the world is 536 feet.

"On the 5th April 2013 Lürssen, the leading shipyard for large luxury yacht building, launched the 180 m yacht AZZAM - the largest motor yacht in the world," according to a press release, issued by Lürssen.
The yacht is not only large, it's relatively fast and didn't take long to build.

"The yacht AZZAM is breaking new grounds in terms of dimension, performance and technology," according to the release. "In addition to being the largest yacht in the world with a length of 180 meters and with a top speed of over 30 knots she adds another record in terms of building time."
The release quotes Peter Lürssen who said the yacht was "in build for only three years following one year of engineering."
There's no official word yet on who the owner of Azzam is.
