Preakness Stakes: Where To Attend Watch Parties

The Preakness Stakes gets off and running May 16 at Laurel Park. Patch has compiled a list of watch parties being held across the region.

MARYLAND — This year's Preakness Stakes won't be unlike any other, as the historic race will be held at Anne Arundel County's Laurel Park.

The shift in venue comes as the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore undergoes massive redevelopment. Racing at the treasured grounds isn't expected to return until at least 2027.

With the Kentucky Derby checked off, the second leg of the American Triple Crown gets underway in a little over a week.
