Yummy! Annapolis Chocolate Binge Festival Offers Holiday Treats

Meet Santa Claus, make s'mores, sample chocolate goodies and more on the first block of West Street Sunday, Dec. 4. Plus parking details.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — From chocolate martinis to cookies and fudge, the city will revel in all things chocolate this weekend at the Annapolis Chocolate Binge Festival. Santa Claus will also be there to meet youngsters and the day wraps with a canopy lighting on West Street.

The Inner West Street Association and The Annapolis Arts District have teamed up to present the festival on Sunday, Dec. 4, from noon to 5 p.m. on the first block of West Street. The Annapolis Chocolate Binge Festival will feature family friendly entertainment, holiday shopping, the lighting of the new West Street Light Canopy, and, of course, chocolate.

The festival's proceeds will benefit the Annapolis Arts District and We Care and Friends, according to organizers.

Family fun at the Annapolis Chocolate Binge Festival includes: a giant gingerbread house moon bounce for the kids, the chance to roast marshmallows and make s'mores at the fire pit in the middle of West Street with Sparky from the Annapolis Fire Department, get your picture taken with Lady Godiva, get a balloon animal, and visit Santa Claus.

Santa will collect toys, coats and hats for the We Care and Friends Holiday Party for the area's homeless and kids in need.

Take a chocolate tour along West Street with a dozens of vendors selling chocolate specialties including chocolate caramels, bars, truffles, fudge, cookies, rice crispies, fondue, martinis and more.

You can also complete your holiday shopping at the holiday market at the Annapolis Chocolate Binge Festival featuring local craftspeople selling jewelry, pottery, candles, wood turnings, glass blowing and more.

Admission is a $5 donation for adults; kids are free with parents. Money raised from the festival will support the Annapolis Arts District. Everyone making a donation will get a complimentary hot chocolate.

Parking will be available nearby on Calvert Street at Whitmore Parking Garage, Gotts Court Parking Garage and the State Parking Garage.
