1 Killed, 1 Critically Hurt In Pasadena House Fire
A fatal house fire ripped through a Forsythia Lane home Friday night.

PASADENA, MD — A house fire killed one person and left another in critical condition in Pasadena late Friday night, Anne Arundel County Fire Department reports.
Just after 11:30 p.m., neighbors in the 4400 block of Forsythia Lane called 9-1-1 reporting a dwelling fire with possible occupants trapped. The callers said that two residents lived in the home and were not accounted for, fire officials said.
The first arriving firefighters reported fire from the windows of the living room located in the front of the one-story single family house. They immediately entered the home to search for the victims, and located and removed a victim from the kitchen near the rear of the home.

The resident is estimated to be in his 50s, and was in cardiac arrest when he was removed from the kitchen, fire officials said. Firefighters and paramedics resuscitated him and transported him to the Burn Center at John Hopkins Bayview with critical, life-threatening injuries.
Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in the living room and located the second resident who was declared deceased on the scene, fire officials said. The age and gender of this victim are not available, and will be released to the public after identification has been determined and next of kin notified.

Members of the Anne Arundel County Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit are investigating the cause of the house fire. At this time, it has been determined that there were no working smoke alarms inside the home.
An estimated dollar loss has not been established, fire officials said.
