105 MPH Speeder Caught, Dozens Of Drivers Stopped In Anne Arundel County: Police
A 105 mph speeder and dozens of other drivers were stopped during a traffic enforcement sting in Anne Arundel County, police said.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Police said they recently caught 105 mph and 85 mph speeders during a traffic enforcement detail in Anne Arundel County.
Officers said they spent three hours last Tuesday patrolling Maryland Route 10, which connects Maryland Route 100 in Pasadena to Interstate 695 in Glen Burnie. The speed limit on Route 10 is 55 mph.
Authorities said they made 36 traffic stops, issued 33 tickets "for egregious speed violations" and gave nine warnings for move-over offenses.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said the operation included officers in a helicopter overhead who notified ground authorities of speeders.
"This enforcement effort is a continuation of directed enforcement patrols conducted on various county roadways as a result of crashes, aggressive driving, and speed complaints," police said in a press release. "Additional enforcement efforts will be conducted on various county roadways focused on deterring aggressive driving, distracted driving, speeding, and occupant protection."
