2 Killed In Fiery Crash Following Police Chase Through MD, DC
The chase started in Anne Arundel County and continued through PG County before ending in Southeast D.C., reports said.

WASHINGTON, DC — Two people were killed in a fiery crash Tuesday following a police chase that started in Anne Arundel County and ended in Washington, D.C., according to authorities and reports.
The chase began around 12:15 p.m. on Bestgate Road in Annapolis when officers on patrol spotted a BMW believed to be involved in a string of recent armed robberies, according to a WTOP report citing Anne Arundel County police Chief Amal Awad.
Reports said officers tried to stop the BMW but the driver fled.

Awad said the chase continued on westbound U.S. Route 50 out of Annapolis and into Prince George's County, WBAL reported. A U.S. Park Police officer also aided in the pursuit when they spotted the BMW traveling into D.C., reports said.
"The vehicle was moving at a high rate of speed, it crested a hill, immediately slammed into a tree, and erupted into flames,” said U.S. Park Police Chief Jessica Taylor, according to WTOP. “It was set on fire.”

D.C. authorities confirmed the crash happened in the 4100 block of Southern Avenue near 41st Street Southeast. Two people died when they became trapped inside the burning vehicle. A third person was taken to the hospital in police custody.
Southern Avenue between 36th Place Southeast and Fort Dupont Street Southeast was closed Tuesday as police investigated the crash.
