3 Teens, Police Officer Hurt In Pasadena Crash

A Glen Burnie driver reportedly turned in front of an Anne Arundel County Police car; four injured in crash.

PASADENA, MD — A Glen Burnie driver reportedly turned in front of an Anne Arundel County Police car, authorities say, causing a crash that sent four people to area hospitals. No charges have yet been filed in the accident, police say, but the police report says the civilian driver was speeding.

An officer on patrol in a 2014 Chevy Caprice was westbound on Ft. Smallwood Road into the entrance to Tick Neck Park about 9:30 p.m. Monday. The driver of a Jeep Wrangler was eastbound, leaving the park at a high rate of speed, when he reportedly failed to yield to the right of way and turned left in front of the police car, authorities say. As a result, the Jeep struck the police vehicle.

The Jeep driver and his two passengers, as well as the officer, all suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to area hospitals for treatment, police said.
