The public is invited to attend a workshop Sept. 12 highlighting Anne Arundel County Public School's proposed FY2021 capital budget.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — The Anne Arundel County Public Schools board of education will review Superintendent George Arlotto's proposed fiscal year 2021 capital budget at its Sept. 11 school board meeting. The board then will hold a public workshop addressing the budget on Thursday, Sept. 12, starting at 6 p.m. The capital budget establishes funding priorities for construction projects at schools across the county.
No public testimony will be taken at the workshop, but testimony will be accepted at a public hearing scheduled for its Sept. 25 meeting at 7 p.m. Once adopted, the plan will be submitted to the State of Maryland for funding consideration. It also will become part of the school system’s overall FY2021 budget request that will be forwarded to the county executive in February 2020.
Individuals unable to attend school board meetings in person are invited to view the live broadcast of these meetings on AACPS-TV, which can be found on Channel 96 on Comcast and Broadstripe, and Channel 36 on Verizon.
