ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — A Pasadena woman who served as the treasurer of a youth sports club pleaded guilty to stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the volunteer group and filing a false tax report.
A Thursday release from the Office of the Attorney General of Maryland said Kelley Ann Haley, 46, admitted to stealing $238,452 from the Pasadena Buccaneers Athletic Club over five years.
Haley, according to authorities, also failed to include the funds on her income tax return, a move that allowed her to avoid paying $4,625.69 in taxes.
The guilty plea in both cases was submitted Oct. 30.
Investigators determined the Pasadena woman stole the funds from the athletic group between 2019 and 2024 when she served as its treasurer.

Findings by the Anne Arundel County Police Department showed Haley stole the funds by making ATM withdrawals with the club's debit cards.
Officials previously said the Pasadena woman stole over $242,500 from the organization. Haley is now required to pay the owed taxes to the state.
Sentencing in both cases is scheduled to take place Dec. 17.
