Annual Anne Arundel Bird Club Wildlife Lecture at Quiet Waters Park

The Anne Arundel Bird Club presents its annual Richard E. Heise Jr. Wildlife Lecture at Quiet Waters Park, Thursday March 6th at 8 PM. This year's lecture features renowned Peruvian conservationist, Enrique Ortiz, vice president and founder of the Amazon Conservation Association.

The Peruvian Amazon has the most number of bird species and is one of the most important natural systems anywhere in the world. Mr. Ortiz will give a slide show and share his experiences working to conserve the birds, wildlife, and rain forest of the Amazon basin. He will also talk about efforts to stop deforestation due to a surge in illegal logging and gold mining in the region and what you can do to help. Come join us for an engaging lecture and discussion! Refreshments will be served.
