Officers said thieves stole an ATM from an Anne Arundel County convenience store. The theft led to a police chase, a report added.

PASADENA, MD — Officers said thieves stole an ATM from a Pasadena convenience store early Friday morning. Police noted that they eventually spotted the suspects, but they couldn't catch up to the speedy getaway car.
Responding officers advised that they heard word of the theft from the Royal Farms, located at 4500 Mountain Road, around 4 a.m. A witness told police she saw a red van driving back and forth slowly on Mountain Road around 3:30 a.m. before she heard a loud bang in the store, an incident report informed.
An officer then spotted a Ford van and a black Ford Taurus heading away from the scene near Mountain Road and Meehling Road, the press release explained. Police wrote that the officer tried to pull the vehicles over, and they both stopped in the roadway.
