Blessings of the Animals
CELC will conduct a 'Blessing of the Animals' in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi's love for all creatures on Oct. 12, all are welcome.
Blessing of the Animals! Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church (CELC), website: celc1908.com, located at 8249 Jumpers Hole Road, Millersville, MD 21108, will hold its fifth annual blessing for animals at 2pm on October 12 in the field behind the parsonage. Last year our four-footed companions included dogs, cats, a 250 pound hog, a gerbil and a gecko among others to receive blessings. There’s plenty of room in the field for more and different representatives of God’s creatures to join us. All are invited to bring their pets for a short, informal service and a blessing in the tradition of St. Francis of Assissi. Free and close parking. Snacks provided.
