The Friends of the Rising Sun Inn announces the expansion of their guided tours to include the Rising Sun Inn's second floor with the opening of the 2020 season. After months of work by many volunteers, the 1753 section of the Inn's second floor is ready for the public to enjoy. Previously, access to the Inn's second floor has been limited to the Historic Candlelight Ghost Stories tours held annually in October. This expansion of the tours marks the first time in the Inn's history that the second floor will become regularly open to the public. Guests will see the beautifully recreated 18th century bedroom; a unique dining display highlighting the Inn's two prominent eras, the late 18th century and the early 20th century; and more of the Inn's distinctive architectural features.

The Rising Sun Inn's 2020 season opens this weekend with their Spring Author Series beginning on Saturday, March 7th, featuring Saving Washington author, Chris Formant, and public tours beginning Sunday, March 8th. Public tours are held the second Sunday of each month, between March to November, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Admission is $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 3 - 12, and children under 3 are free. Visit our website for more details at www.risingsuninn.org. Tickets for the Chris Formant lecture are still available. For details or tickets visit our website or email events1753@gmail.com.
