Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races Welcomes a Powerhouse Variety of Acts This Summer

From Rock and Roll, to Country, to Comedy, Hollywood Casino is Your Summer A-List Entertainment Destination

This summer, music and comedy legends are set to take Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races’ Event Center stage for a sizzling lineup of entertainment all summer long. Get ready for some of the hottest acts to date including stand up sensation Wayne Brady, rock legends Pat Benatar with Neil Giraldo and Creedence Clearwater Revisited, country stars Jamey Johnson and the Oak Ridge Boys and a special Michael Jackson tribute concert, Moonwalker: The Reflection of Michael.

The fun kicks off with two Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and their new American rock band, Creedence Clearwater Revisited on Saturday, July 1 at 9 p.m. Original CCR bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford have kept the spirit alive for more than two decades and are bringing new energy and classic treasured grassroots rock tunes, including hits “Born on the Bayou,” “Fortunate Son” and “Proud Mary.”

Next up is comedian, actor, singer and television personality Wayne Brady on Saturday, July 15 at 8 p.m. The multi Daytime Emmy Award winner has been making audiences laugh since his early days on the quick-witted improvisational comedy show Whose Line Is It Anyway?. Brady continued his success with daytime TV series The Wayne Brady Show, along with hosting Fox’s Don’t Forget the Lyrics! and Let’s Make a Deal. In his latest project, Brady joined the cast of Tony Award-winning Broadway production Kinky Boots.

On Saturday, August 5 at 8 p.m. the Event Center welcomes eleven-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson. The platinum-selling artist rose to the top of the Nashville chain with his six recorded albums and was named “one of the greatest country singers of our time” by the Washington Post. Some of his biggest, chart-topping hits include, “In Color,” “The Dollar” and “High Cost of Living.”

An unforgettable live tribute performance, Moonwalker: The Reflection of Michael continues the lineup on Saturday, August 26 at 8 p.m. Inspired by one of the greatest performers of all time, this award-winning production features talented singers, musicians and dancers that bring the King of Pop to life in an explosion of energetic perfection. This production takes the audience on a musical journey into Michael Jackson’s genius.

Then, don’t miss your chance to see four-part harmonies of gospel quartets to contemporary country music as the Oak Ridge Boys infuse their sound into Charles Town. On Saturday, September 2 at 8 p.m. the Grammy, Dove, CMA and AMA award winners play hits off their recorded double-platinum, platinum, and gold albums which produced over a dozen No. 1 hits, such as “American Made,” “Trying to Love Two Women” and “Elvira.” The group was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015.

Rounding out the summer is four-time Grammy Award winner and iconic vocalist, Pat Benatar and longtime musical director and husband Neil Giraldo on Friday, September 15 at 9 p.m. The duo has sold more than 26 million albums including the multi-platinum “Crimes of Passion.” Throughout their career, Benatar and Giraldo have turned out 19 Top 40 Singles, such as, “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “Love is a Battlefield,” and “We Belong.”
